It's been a while.....

It's been a busy busy month!!!!

First of all - congrats to my brother Jonathan, and his new wife Krystal!  They got married on Sunday night in a beauitful ceremony that we thought would be all rain but it was SO perfect out!!!  Here is a lovely pic:

I'd have more but I lost my camera at the reception - we left without it in the family limo:(  It'll turn up and I'll add more...

I'm catching up on my fave blogs today, and one of my most favoritest (??) is giving away a SILHOUETTE!!  I'm dying to win one of these because they are so  darn expensive!!  iHeart Organizing is doing the giveaway so go on over and compete with me for this awesome machine.  Seriously...the stuff I could create with this thing is ridiculous!

Anyways, I'll have another post later to review my latest book.  I'm slacking, I know!!  Life has been so busy!  But after Friday, I'm a house wife again for the summer....so I'll have LOTS of time to catch up:)

Where will you celebrate?!?

Ok, so maybe its my familys English heritage (My aunt lives there, my grandmother grew up there, my great grandmother was born there - all on moms side) or whatever but I love love love learning and reading about the Royals in good ol' London!!  I was obsessed with Diana as a kid, her dress was my dream wedding dress (now I think, WHAT was I thinking...lol - I know, it was the style back then) and I never really cared about weddings until I watched Diana and Charles' wedding on tape which I was like 6 or something and then I was always thinking about mine!

Needless to say, I am freaking excited about the Royal Wedding tomorrow.  Of course, it starts at 4am and I do NOT function well at 4am.  If I didnt have to work all day, I may try it, but since I have to be awake and peppy for a full day of counseling students, teachign guidance lessons, and running small groups, my DVR is doing the work at 4am and I will watch the big event with my friends tomorrow night!  Shout out to Katie Drost and possibly Crystal Conklin for a Royal Wedding Watching Party:)  I will probably leave my TV on overnight and if I happen to wake up, so bit it.  I'll just be tired!

I get happy tears thinking about their big day!  Look how happy they are:
Royal Wedding: Order of Service Announced | Kate Middleton, Prince William
Maybe it's because I'm a newlywed myself (June 13th will be a year) and I have so many happy memories from my day:

Or maybe it's because my older brother is getting married in 3 weeks:

That's his finace Krystal - they get married on May 15th!!  This picture was taken at our wedding, which they were both in...

Whatever the reason, I get all giddy and sappy just thinking about weddings these days!  This Royal one is huge, and even though I don't know Will or Kate personally, its part of history and I feel like being a part of that!

So tomorrow night we will gather with pizza (classy, I know) and a heart shaped cake I am making just for the occasion (corny, I know) and I will probably just wear my PJs (which would probably make Kate faint, PJs to a wedding?!?) and we will watch history!  I sincerely wish the couple happy and full of love days ahead!  Best Wishes and Congrats!  I can't wait!

Halfway done - with a fun freebie!

Yesterday I finished my 5th book, the Titanic one!  I'm halfway through 1 month of my crazy 10 books a month challenge - woooooooo!!!  I took a few back to the library today, so that I do not forget about them.  I signed up for that Get Steamed reading challenge hosted by the Harford County Library - and today I got my mug!  Here is a picture...
Don't mind my morning mess look, crazy hair and all!  We really do not need another mug here, but oh well, I'm a sucker for free stuff. I'm drinking my coffee (from my fave appliance the house - the keurig!!!) out of it right now!  If you want to do it, it's soooo easy.  Just get a slip from the library and read 5 books by March 5th or something, and then turn the slip back in and you get a mug - fun freebie!
I took out all these research books on Disney, because if you didn't know, I am now a internet writer for Examiner.com!!  I'm the Baltimore Disney Travel writer, and its really fun so far!  I'm getting paid (not much) to write about Disney travel stuff!  Cool, huh?  Here is my link if you want to read it: http://www.examiner.com/disney-travel-in-baltimore/christina-bland its really cute.  So I am reading up on all sorts of Disney stuff to get the creative juices flowing.  I already have about 100 ideas for articles, just from my experiences planning, going, and enjoying all things Disney!

I also took out a bunch of books on party planning!  My bestest friends and I are starting a small event planning business, it's call Sweet Pea Events!!  We also have a blog and Facebook for that, here is that link: http://sweetpeaeventplanning.blogspot.com/2011/01/sweet-pea-events.html .  We love to throw parties and especially help brides with weddings, so we are taking that love and hobby to the next level, we are very excited!

So I have a lot going on right now, but it's all really fun stuff.  Isn't life better when you enjoy every bit of it?  I also went on an interview yesterday for the behavior consultant job (2nd interview) and I think I will probably get it, yay for having a job and money again!!!

Ok well I'm off to clean, read (The Last Battle, Lewis is next on my list), cook, paint our little basement office and watch the Ravens kick the Squeelers butts!!  GO RAVENS!!!
